Annemarie Roeper

Annemarie Roeper 1918-2012, a leading expert in educating and advocating for gifted children, was a key inspiration and mentor to Grace Neufeld, our founder and executive director. Annemarie Roeper pioneered the Qualitative Assessment Method which is recommended and used by BLC in assessing gifted children. Pictured here at BLC in 2011, Annemarie gave BLC her endorsement as a preferred

placement for gifted children.

Anne Beneventi

Anne Beneventi, gifted child advocate and Annemarie Roeper Qualitative Assessment practitioner, is a supporter and adviser to the BLC program since its inception in 2007. Over the years Ms. Beneventi has helped shape and guide our program to be the successful program it is today.


Dr. Linda Kreger Silverman

Dr. Linda Kreger Silverman, founder and director of the Gifted Development Center, author of many books and researcher of the development potential of gifted children, was a key advisor in BLC's initial formation. Dr. Silverman's generous contribution of her time helped our founder to understand the type of physical environment in which gifted children thrive. She also provided IQ testing for many families in our facility in Oakland.


Norma LaRosa
Norma LaRosa joined the BLC organization in 2016 offering her expertise in business management support and guidance. Norma has many years experience in business consulting and development. She works directly with our founder and top executive team on the BLC expansion plans.
